What to

Every Sunday we gather together as a church at 10:30am at our church building on Arbury Road (just off the junction with Milton Road.

If this is your first time in a church, we want you to have such a great time with us that you wonder why you have never come along before! However going to a new place can be a bit daunting so we thought we would give you a few tips that might help you know what to expect a little bit more.

Getting to the church

We have a car park at the church, plenty of bike racks (this is Cambridge after all) and local buses stop near the church too. The car park on a Sunday can get filled up quickly, if this should be the case there is plenty of parking on local streets too. If you are coming for the first time, do let us know and we will reserve a place in our car park for you!

Getting in the church

To get into the church you need to first go through the archway to the left hand side of the building which takes you into a small court yard. Once you have gone though this you will see the main doors to the church straight ahead of you.

Once you are inside

Hopefully there will be someone by the door ready to greet you and welcome you to our church. Please do say hello to them, and ask them any questions that you might have and they would be more than happy to speak to you. If you make your way into the main church building feel free to grab a seat anywhere and we hope you might get chance to chat to people around you before the service starts.

As a church we want you to have a great time and feel a part of our church family. Please do ask anyone who is around you if you have any questions and we will do the best that we can to help you.

During the service

Some people can find church a bit daunting, but we hope this won't be your experience at Arbury Road. The person leading the service will usually tell you about what is coming up next and what to do, but please feel free to do what ever you feel most comfortable. For example if you want to sing your heart out then that is great, but if you just want to listen to the music then that is equally ok too!

Children and Families

We want everyone to feel relaxed in our church and that includes parents and children. Sometimes getting out the house on time can be difficult, If for some reason you should be late getting to church, please don't worry you are just as welcome to join us regardless of what time you arrive.

We want families to feel like they have been to church together and learnt something together too. As a result we have a brief part of our service each week which introduces the topic that the adults will be thinking about later in a way that is accessible to children too.

We have a range of Sunday school groups that provide activities and teaching appropriate to the age of the children in each group. As you arrive at church please do ask about where the groups will be and we will try and introduce you to the leaders before the service starts.

After the service

At the end of the service we would love to get to know you a little more so please do stay on for a drink and the chance to to chat a bit more.

There are signs to the toilets around the building, but if you should struggle to find them then please do let us know. We have a disabled toilet that also has a baby change facility for those who need this.
